LIBS Events Ltd stores all data collected on our website on secure servers located in the Republic of Ireland, which is within the European Economic Area (EEA).
LIBS routinely transfers this data to MailChimp, our third-party email provider for the purposes of creating, adding to and maintaining our mailing lists which we use to communicate with members about upcoming events, past events and LIBS news.

We use a third-party email service, MailChimp, to manage our regular email communications to members and MailChimp act as a data-processor on behalf of LIBS.
MailChimp is a US company and has staff based outside the EEA, and stores your data in the US. MailChimp is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield framework. When you sign up to our email alerts, you agree to your data being stored in this way.
As a subscriber to our email alerts, we may contact you from time to time to ask for your feedback on how to improve our email alert service.
As a data processor on behalf of LIBS, MailChimp will use your information to send you email alerts if you request them. You can find out more about how MailChimp collects and stores your information.
Sending information over the internet is generally not completely secure, and we can't guarantee the security of your data while its in transit, however, to give users greater confidence the LIBS website is protected via a HTTPS connection, verified by SSL certificate, which provides encryption for data entered on the site. However, no data transmitted over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% safe and LIBS do not accept liability for any data in transit and any data you send is at your own risk.
We take reasonable steps to secure your Personal Data and have operational procedures and security features in place to keep your data secure once we receive it.
All data collected via the LIBS website is stored in a secure database hosted by Firebase, a Google company located in the United States. Firebase provides excellent physical and cyber security protection to protect their customer's data.
We may pass on your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so, or if we have to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements. This includes exchanging information with other government departments for legal reasons.
We won't share your information with any other organisations for marketing, market research or commercial purposes, and we don’t pass on your details to other websites.

LIBS Events Ltd does not undertake any automated decision making. All events are prioritised on a first-come, first-served basis. If at any point in the future LIBS Events Ltd engages in automated decision making you have the right to object to automated decisioning and have your data processed manually.

LIBS Events Ltd is a fully volunteer run organisation that provides events for our members. Membership is free of charge and open to all. Membership is availed of by signing up to the LIBS mailing list via www.londonirishbusinesssociety.org/join
Signing up to the mailing list is not required in order to declare yourself a member of LIBS, or to attend any of our events. However, we release information about our events and invitations to avail of free tickets via our email platform first, before communicating via social media or creating a post on our website.
LIBS Events Ltd thus relies on the consent of it's members, who have opted into receiving communications from LIBS Events Ltd, as the legal basis for processing personal data.
Members are advised that they can withdraw consent to process this data at any time. A link to withdraw consent is included in all of our email correspondence.
The LIBS website contains links to other websites.
This privacy policy only applies to LIBS Events Ltd and doesn't cover other government services and transactions that we link to. These services, such as Eventbrite and Luma, have their own terms and conditions and privacy policies.

LIBS uses the following third-party services to manage our events. LIBS Events Ltd do not control these services and consenting to use these third-party services is not required to be a member of LIBS, however, all our events are ticketed events with limited tickets available. In order to have the highest possibility of securing tickets members are encouraged to ensure that their email is securely stored on our mailing list and the use of Eventbrite is encouraged to easily secure tickets to events.
